Print lecture notes with less paper and readable text

Select the pages you need, compare sheet counts and test the smallest diagram before shrinking your notes. A practical study-pack printing plan.

Study notes with teal divider tabs and a diagram sheet beside a pencil and highlighter.

Reduce a study pack by removing material you do not need, then considering double-sided printing, and only then trying multiple pages per side. The smallest equation or diagram should decide how much you shrink the pages.

Select the material you will actually study

Check the required lecture range and remove duplicates or unnecessary cover sheets. Preserve chapter order and original page numbers when you need them to follow a class or reference a solution.

The PDF’s page position may differ from the number printed on the page because of a cover or contents section. Check both ends of every selected range so you do not start halfway through an answer.

Compare the paper counts

For one copy of a 40-page document, with no added covers or dividers:

Layout Sheets needed
One page per side, single-sided 40
One page per side, double-sided 20
Two pages per side, double-sided 10

The final option makes everything smaller and may be unsuitable for dense tables. These are sheet counts, not prices; check the difference between pages and sheets before comparing print quotes.

Test the hardest page

Choose a page containing the smallest text or busiest diagram and print it with your proposed settings. Read the symbols, superscripts and footnotes, then try adding a handwritten note. If the detail is hard to read or the margin is unusable, reduce the amount of shrinking.

Acrobat offers multiple-page layouts. Check the page count per side and reading order in the preview. Booklet printing is a different arrangement intended for folding; it is not a shortcut for ordinary compact notes.

If you prepare a PDF with two source pages already arranged inside each final page, request one final PDF page per side to avoid shrinking it again. Prepare that layout outside Warqti rather than assuming the app has a multiple-pages control.

Split long material at sensible boundaries

Warqti’s current per-file limits are 50 pages after conversion and 25 MiB for the upload. Divide longer material by lecture or chapter, label the parts clearly, and check that the end of each part leads into the start of the next. Recheck page numbers if exporting changes the pagination.
