When you print with Warqti, your document is stored encrypted, the shop cannot open it until your single-use code is scanned in front of you, and the file is deleted automatically 24 hours after printing. The rest of this post walks through each step.
Compare that with how printing at a shop usually works: you hand your file to a stranger through a WhatsApp message to the shop's phone, a USB stick, or an email to an address that ten other customers have used today. The file stays there long after you have left with your pages.
1. You upload, and the file is encrypted
You upload your document in the app and choose how you want it printed. The file is stored encrypted. Nobody at the print shop has received anything yet.
2. You pay online and get a single-use code
After you pay, you get a pickup code and a QR code. The code works once. If someone else saw it after you used it, it would be worthless to them.
3. The shop cannot open your file before you arrive
The partner shop sees that an order is waiting, not what is in it. Your document is only released to the printer when your code is scanned at the counter, with you standing there.
4. The file deletes itself
24 hours after printing, your document is deleted automatically. You do not need to ask for it. Our privacy policy sets out what we keep and for how long.
One more thing: nobody from Warqti will ask for your sign-in code
The sign-in code we send you is for you to type into the app, nowhere else. We never ask for it over the phone or in a chat. If someone does, it is not us.
