How to print a clear CV for an interview
Check the final file, contact details and print quality before your interview. Choose a readable layout and carry clean, flat copies.

Print your CV from a checked final file, with readable text and good contrast, and carry it flat in a folder. If the interview organiser specifies a format or number of copies, follow those instructions first.
Check the details before the decoration
Start with your name, phone number, email address and intended role. Confirm that the file is the version for this application, not an older copy left in your downloads folder.
If the CV links to a portfolio, remember that nobody can click the paper. Make the destination understandable and check that the link still works. A different text colour alone does not make a printed link useful.
Create a stable print copy
Export a PDF and open the result. Office applications support saving documents for sharing and printing. Look especially for headings stranded at the bottom of a page or a single line pushed onto an extra sheet.
This does not mean every CV must fit on one page. For a longer document, retain a clear sequence and suitable page numbering instead of reducing the type until it is difficult to read. Use the final-file checklist to check the export.
Choose settings that support reading
A4 is a practical starting point unless another size is requested. Single-sided printing is a straightforward option when you want each page visible without checking its reverse; it is not a universal recruitment requirement.
Test coloured headings and grey body text on paper. Black-and-white output may be sufficient if the sections remain clear; the colour and grayscale guide explains the check. Choose clean paper suitable for the printer, without assuming that a heavier sheet improves the content or your prospects.
Inspect the first copy before repeating it
Read the contact details carefully and look for clipped lines, marks or missing pages. Prepare the requested number of copies, with a spare if useful; the job title alone does not tell you how many interviewers will attend.
Protect the edges in a folder and keep supporting documents separate so you can find them when requested. These are practical steps for preparing the paper copy, not rules for writing a CV or a promise about the interview outcome.
